We are seeking an outstanding full-time Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving the medical needs of the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with the physician to manage acute and chronic illness, developing a plan of care that respects the wishes of the patient patient/family/DPOA-HC
- Communicate with the patient and family regarding medical care options, then effectively implement the patient or family decision regarding the level of care desired.
- Collaborate with staff members of the facilities to carry out the care plan and accomplish patient/family/DPOA-HC goals of care.
- When expressing concerns regarding client care, use tact and diplomacy in meeting with the patient, care team, family, administration, or individual staff members.
- Maintain patient, staff, and facility confidentiality when discussing client care or medical management.
- Perform assessments, order diagnostics, and prescribe medications for clients based on protocols or best practice.
- Provide patient, family, and staff education as needed.
- Availability of a minimum of 40 hours each week, not counting call hours, to accomplish the facility/on-site client visits, and other job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a school of nursing, with post-graduate certification. Hold current licensure in the State of Kansas. Knowledgeable in medical care of the elderly, and the regulatory environment surrounding elderly care facilities/residences.
*Compensation commiserate with qualification. Health, Dental, and malpractice paid by employer.
