Job description
Responsible for running the kitchen operations of a high-volume, fine dining establishment. Tracking and maintaining food inventory. Follow a predetermined menu and create special menu selections. Training and managing kitchen personnel and coordinating all related culinary activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains and supports a positive, collaborative culture within the organization
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with guests and co-workers.
- Monitors food, labor, and supply costs.
- Ensures food quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Interacts with food and beverage management for food production
- Evaluates food products to assure that quality standard is consistent
- Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
- Ensures Occupational Safety Health Act and company safety/security policy are met.
- Provides training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff.
Culinary training from the accreted culinary institute – Preferred
Experience with strong communication skills and leadership experience.
Experience managing menu costs and labor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess great knife skills - Required
Kitchen experience or other closely related experience – strongly preferred.
Fine Dining experience or closely related experience – strongly preferred.

Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
