Job Summary: With close supervision, load programs and run daily production on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Thru Hole as well as Selective Solder Wave. Make software changes requested by supervisor and or SMT programmers. Some of the functions include but are not limited JUKI surface mount pick and place, Juki printing machines, Cyberoptics Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, Kurtz ERSA Reflow Oven profiling as well as misc. Thru Hole Machinery and Pillar House Selective Solder. History with Secka Testing Machinery is a plus. This position requires excellent attention to detail to help ensure little to no downtime. Document work process and outcomes for continuous improvement purposes.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
- Loads Feeder and uploads production files.
- Creates and/or modifies component profiles for SMT and AOI equipment.
- Creates and maintains SMT assembly folders.
- Operates Juki SMT lines during normal production.
- Operates AOI machine and works with EMO II on maintenance tasks.
- Verifies reflow oven profiles daily.
- Maintains Stencil inventory.
- Maintains consumable items (solder paste, adhesive, gloves, wipes)
- Works as a team with other machine operators to optimize thruput.
- Supports effort to meet goals with Production Operators, Engineers, Design and Management
- Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience operating and maintaining production equipment preferred.
- History with Delta / Universal SMT and Thru Hole is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Understanding of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
- Good communication skills; both verbally and in writing.
- JUKI Programming software experience is a bonus.
- Must be able to read and understand Bill of Materials, Assembly drawings.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Familiar with MS Office is helpful.
- Experience ERP systems is helpful.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 30lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods during shift.
- Required to wear proper personal protective equipment including safety glasses, masks, steel-toed boots, and any other PPE as needed for the task.
- This position is designated as a safety-sensitive job and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
- Must have good vision to view light alarms and ability to work with a microscope as needed.
- Must be able to operate a computer, mouse, and telephone.
