As a Patient Care Liaison at My Psychiatrist South Miami, you'll be the heartbeat of our clinics, creating the first and lasting impression for our patients. As a Patient Care Liaison with us, you will be at the core of our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while playing a pivotal role in the overall success of our thriving practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Provide stellar customer service over phone and in person. Be the friendly face that greets and assists our patients and visitors in a courteous manner. Answer and redirect phone calls to the appropriate parties. Efficiently manage appointment scheduling and telemedicine sessions.
- Administrative Support: Assist in the patient check-in and check-out process. Collect and record patient information and medical history, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Records Management: Maintain and update patients' electronic health records (EHR). Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and filed appropriately. Uphold patient confidentiality while managing records and billing.
- Communication: Relay messages from patients to medical staff and vice versa. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Billing and Insurance: Assist patients with billing inquiries and process payments. Verify insurance details and coordinate with the billing department.
- Office Maintenance: Maintain a clean, inviting, and organized reception area.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with a customer service orientation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; further certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Proven work experience as a Front Desk Representative, preferably in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and EHR systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
