GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Install Technician to join our team. As a Security Install Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises by installing and maintaining critical security systems. KEY COMPETENCIES
- Must be able to run and bend conduit (sizes 0.5in to 2in)
- Foundational knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, wiring principles, security system components , troubleshooting, networking skills helpful
- Knowledge of basic electricity principles such as AC/DC theory, ohms law, ability to read and understand a digital volt/ohm meter
- The ability to work & communicate well with others
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems including cameras, card access systems, network video recorders, gate operators, and de-drone systems.
- Collaborate closely with client contacts on-site to ensure safety and installation standards are adhered to
- Coordinate with other contractors, electricians, and safety inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance
- Driving company vehicles to client job sites
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
Minimum high school diploma, Technical School training (e.g. Apex) desired
Experience:
5+ Years experience as field service technician. Knowledgeable in IP Cameras, NVR's, Card Access, Network Intercoms or Alarm Systems. Great to have experience with manufacturers that we work with including Axis, Genetec, Honeywell, Commend or Napco
Security system certifications and network experience is a plus.
Other:
Clean Drivers License
OSHA -30 Certified
Own own tools & PPE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to carry your own tools & equipment and work at heights in a aerial lift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
