Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Enters protests in computer and schedule for Appraisal Review Board hearings
· Prepares folders for scheduled Appraisal Review Board protests and pull cards for each account
· Prepares Appraisal Review Board member voting sheets
· Notarizes affidavits and other documentation during Appraisal Review Board hearings
· Records, transcribes, and maintains Appraisal Review Board hearing minutes
· Separates copies of change forms and send them to the county and file all forms
· Enters agent codes, assign agent numbers and file paperwork
· Updates data in computer system
· Dates stamp all completed applications received such as Renditions, Protest, etc.
· Organizes and maintains filing systems in compliance with records retention schedule
· Types/word processes correspondence, notices, schedules, reports, and forms
· Prepares special and statistical reports as needed
· Interprets normal legal documents conveying title to real estate
· May assist with office services work in processing mail and bulk mailings
· Gain knowledge of provisions of the Texas Property Tax Code and their appropriate application
· Answers telephone and either personally addresses caller needs and requests or transfers calls to appropriate personnel for handling
· Makes copies
· Faxes/mails documents, forms and correspondence
· Works under supervision
· Performs related duties as assigned and required by ARB Coordinator, Director of Data/ARB Operations or Chief Appraiser

Minimum Required Qualifications:
· Skills/Abilities

-Mental alertness to detect and resolve error conditions
-To communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing
-To operate computer printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and other equipment and devices competently and safely

-High levels of accuracy in word processing and data entry
-To understand and follow oral and written instructions; understand an follow district
procedures
-To work under pressure and adhere to fluctuating schedules
-To take thorough and accurately transcribe Appraisal Review Board meeting minutes
· Knowledge
-Of data entry methods including computer assisted drafting systems
-Of principles and standards relating to property appraisal and ad valorem taxation
-Of basic appraisal techniques
-Of modern office operations and practices
-Of computer terminals/personal computers and their efficient use and operation
-Of filing systems and their efficient use and maintenance
-Of established policies and procedures
-Of applicable provisions of the Texas Property Tax Code
-Of duties and services of appraisal district
· Education/Experience
-Graduation from a standard high school or GED including courses in typing and data entry

Pay: $35,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
