The State Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a 12-18 month, $750M project with Blue Oval City in Stanton, TN. This requires either commuting or relocation to the job site in Stanton, TN. The Safety Manager has responsibility for a specific section of the jobsite, and for managing the Safety Specialists assigned to that section. This position reports directly to the Safety Director.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- As a Safety Manager you will promote a positive and proactive safety culture through behaviors and actions.
- Responsible for the development and performance management of direct reports.
- Review and ensure compliance with written programs, audits, and accident investigations.
- Track incident metrics and trends and apply findings.
- Manage worker’s compensation incidents and accident investigations in a confidential manner that meets the needs of the employee and the company.
- Communicate and collaborate with business partners, regulatory agencies, and employees regarding safety requirements and opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory bodies and industry standards.
- Communicate issues, trends, regulatory updates, and training materials to employees, leadership, and direct reports.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
- 5+ years of experience as a safety professional working in the construction industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 2+ years of experience directly supervising other safety professionals.
- A high level of professionalism with conduct that reflects the core values of the organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety policies and regulations.
- Strong ability to train and communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Proficiency in managing multiple and changing priorities, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Capacity to navigate a fast-paced, change-oriented environment with professionalism.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Previous experience in construction or union environments with varying project volumes and activity levels is preferred.
