HJF is seeking a Office of Sponsored Programs, Director to lead and supervise a team responsible for set up, management, compliance and close out for all grants and cooperative agreements, to include award negotiations, coordination with pre-award, sub agreements team, regulatory affairs staff, finance, and program management, to support customer and compliance obligations for HJF prime award assistance agreement management.
This position will be in support of Office of Sponsored Programs at the Home Office in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities:
- Leads the Office of Sponsored Programs business unit and provides strategic direction, supervision, employee development and oversight of team.

Ensures that HJF assistance agreement administration practices are in compliance with Federal regulations, HJF policy and award requirements. Assures personnel are trained and complying with established procedures concerning delegated authority limits, award financial management, budget set-up, regulatory compliance, and that files of documentation are complete, accurate and sufficient to withstand future audit.
- Ensures prompt and accurate award set up in HJF electronic systems to include documentation of all restrictions and requirements.
- Responsible for all interactions with sponsors for award set-up, approvals, modifications, and close-out.
- Assists technical leads and Program Managers with award management procedures, participates in kick-off meetings, provides timely updates on agreement or modification status, and works with both to ensure award terms and conditions are met and reports submitted to sponsors on time.
- Responsible for pre-award activities related to non-competitive assistance agreement proposal submission.

May include budgetary responsibility to include plan/forecast, prepare, approve, monitor.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct Supervisor: Direct authority to make decisions on the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, starting salaries and merit increases; conduct employee performance evaluations and directs work activities.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field is required. Master's Degree preferred.

More than 10 years experience required.

Knowledge of Uniform Guidance & Federal Acquisition Regulation.

Work Environment

This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
