Acuity is growing and looking to add a highly skilled Technical Writer to our Systems Development Division supporting a key federal customer. This individual should have a growth mindset and serve as a partner to our dynamic team-oriented integration program. Candidates MUST reside in DC/MD/VA and available to work onsite in Washington, DC one day per week.

Responsibilities:
As a Technical Writer you are expected to fill a collaborative and robust role. You will support the creation, modification and maintenance of system related documentation to include security documentation, user guides, strategic communications, and briefs. The Technical Writer shall also be involved in the development of application user guides, reference materials, training guides, presentations and varying policy related documents. In this role you will also support project execution, including: coordinate project meeting logistics, create project deliverable templates, document meeting information for future deliverable content, and update project management reporting documents. You will also manage project schedules, risks, stakeholder communication, and documentation for specific initiatives under the scope of the contract, including operations and maintenance security compliance, incident management process improvement efforts, and phased ITSM module deployments.
Duties include but may not be limited to:

Working with Subject Matter Experts to gather complex information and translate content into user-friendly resources.

Research and translate technical information into manuals and/or other document types for both internal non-technical and technical users.

Meet with various users, SMEs, technical and quality assurance staff to gather data for documentation.

Create, format and edit documents written by others.

Manage multiple documentation projects and providing timely updates to project teams and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
As a Technical Writer, you should possess the following experience/skills:
Desired skils:

Previous experience with Process Analysis and Change Management, facilitating technical reviews, communicating with the Change Advisory Board (CAB), confirming change implementation dates, and drafting change-related communications to the user base highly preferred.
Clearance Requirement

Must have Active DoD Secret clearance verified in JPAS.
