Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in the cannabis edibles business. This role focuses on driving sales and building strong relationships within Chicago and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing relationships with dispensaries, retail partners, and other key stakeholders. The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, increasing revenue, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and product knowledge. Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities
· Effectively present, promote, and sell products utilizing strong negotiation skills.
· Conduct cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to tailor solutions that meet their requirements.
· Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
· Proactively reach out to potential customers through various networking measures.
· Expedite the resolution of customer issues and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
· Successfully close sales by establishing rapport with potential buyers, providing detailed product explanations, addressing objections, and negotiating prices and contract terms with clients within established timelines.
· Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments to ensure cohesive strategies.
· Analyze market potential, track sales, and prepare status reports.
· Provide management with comprehensive reports on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products and services.
· Stay informed on best practices and promotional trends within the industry.
· Actively pursue and open new accounts within designated areas.
· Meet quotas for sales volume, new accounts, and brand placement.
· Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Educate the market on our brand and represent it at meetings and trade shows.
Compensation Package
· Base Pay - $50,000 annually
· Commission - 3.5% commission on sales from accounts the Sales Manager directly manages
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be age 21 or over – IL residency with valid driver’s license is required
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred but not required
- 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role
- Reliable transportation is required due to the nature of the position requiring travel to different locations and cities.
- Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
- Great communication skills, positive attitude, trustworthy, dependable, accountable for own actions, motivating team members, able to delegate minor tasks, and able to receive constructive criticism.
- Must be able to manage time effectively, multitask, stay organized, pay attention to details, and hold strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for an extended periods of time
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent manual dexterity
Computer Operations Abilities
· Basic telephone application skills (messaging via Slack)
· Basic personal computer skills including email, word processing, etc.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand for 8 hours, leaning over and lifting bins
● Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
