Overview:
We are seeking experienced Ironworkers to join our team. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for fabricating, erecting, and installing structural steel components. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and other specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of structural components
- Measure, cut, and shape steel beams, columns, and other materials using machining tools and equipment
- Fabricate metal parts using plasma cutting and other techniques
- Weld components together using intershield welding or other appropriate methods
- Erect and install structural steel components according to specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure steel components
- Perform inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of completed work
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects effectively
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to ironworking
- Experience with rigging, and crane operation is a plus
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
