Echo Lane Animal Clinic (ELAC) is a Memorial-area practice with a huge heart. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care to each and every patient and client we serve. We have built a core of talented professionals who function well in a mutually-supportive, team-focused environment who believe providing amazing medical care can be fun and rewarding. ELAC is women-owned, women-run and non-corporate and we are looking for an additional person to join our team.

- Utilizes active listening in all interactions with with clients and colleagues
- Address owner questions or concerns with practical answers in easy-to-understand language
- Advocate for the best care for our patients
- Make recommendations based on the gold standard of care
- Thoroughly educate clients on all aspects of wellness and preventative care, as well as routine surgical procedures and aftercare
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in multiple formats
- Excel at safe and effective restraint
- Place IV catheters like a champion
- Collect patient samples (e.g. urine, blood, stool)
- Prepare medications for administration accurately
- Assist in all aspects of anesthesia—from intubation to monitoring to recovery
- Assist in surgical and procedures
- Assist in performing radiology
- Assist in all aspects of in-house laboratory and cytology
- Assist in all aspects of dental prophylaxis
- Assist DVMs in examinations by taking thorough and accurate histories, vital signs and weights
- Create and maintain thorough and accurate medical records
- Document client communications thoroughly and accurately
- Learn the flow of the practice and perform duties in other departments as needed to help the team
Physical Requirements
- Lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Lift patients and carry equipment over 50 pounds with a partner
- Adequate stamina for a busy work day
