Play a vital role in supporting construction projects by performing various physical tasks and assisting skilled workers. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing construction sites, operating machinery and tools, moving materials, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Position reports to: Laborer/Concrete Foreman or Superintendent

Assist in setting up and preparing construction sites, ensuring they are safe and free from hazards.

Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks.

Pour concrete and assist the concrete forming crew.

Assist pipe crew.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery (i.e. skid steer).

Follow instructions from supervisors and provide assistance, as needed.

Perform general cleanup and maintenance duties to keep the construction site organized and safe.

Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.

Willingness to support internal and external customers.

Demonstrated ability to communicate well to individuals and groups.

High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb and balance. Must be able to talk, hear, taste and smell and use hands to finger, handle and feel. May need to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
