Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and office manager and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice. Assists in examination and treatment of patients, interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients charts.
TASKS
- Assist healthcare professionals in the examination and treatment of patients, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, and stocking necessary supplies and equipment.
- Perform basic clinical procedures, such as taking blood pressure, measuring height and weight, EKG'S and administering IM injections.
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), updating patient information, test results, and treatment plans accurately and confidentially.
- Assist with patient education, explaining procedures, providing instructions and answering basic medical questions.
- Upload documents to EMR system.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and sterile environment and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and clinic operations.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
