MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have significant knowledge of the most difficult deposit accounts or transactions to aid co-workers with difficult internal problems or with customer complaints
- Continuously demonstrate exceptional service to both internal and external customers and help lead and coordinate the daily activities of the deposits team
- Help Supervisor assign duties, maintain reports and spot check staff work. Assist supervisor to improve staff capabilities and efficiencies
- Set a positive and professional example for the department, assist in training team members, and consistently seek new business by cross-selling services and participating in outside sales calls
- Be the opening or closing supervisor on a rotating schedule: check security fields, set or disable the alarm, open or close the vault, etc.
- Issue money to other Teller/CSR's; receive and verify money from Teller/CSRs; balance vault
- Other duties as assigned
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Thorough knowledge of our products and services, our policies and procedures, and bank regulations pertaining to operations personnel
- Hands-on knowledge of all types of transactions and knowledge of new accounts
- Excellent supervisory and people skills: able to work well with co-workers and assist in training, motivating, and coaching
- Excellent customer service skills: able to handle problem customers and difficult situations in a professional manner and to remain calm under stressful conditions
- Leadership ability: able to make good decisions and accept responsibility
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks for oneself and others.
- Requires high school diploma or GED plus additional bank-related training; 4 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
