Engineering Project Manager – Air Quality
Spectrum Environmental Solutions is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and independently driven candidate for a project management level position to support our growing Environmental Consulting business unit. We are seeking a candidate that has previous environmental program experience.

Position:
We are seeking a project manager level engineer for a full-time position to assist with the direction and execution of projects in our environmental consulting business unit. The position requires simultaneous involvement in multiple projects across a variety of industries. While Spectrum’s consulting team has been primarily focused on combustion sources, we are looking for a candidate who has knowledge and experience in other environmental consulting fields. Areas of interest include, fenceline monitoring, BWON, ethylene oxide, emissions testing, monitoring systems, data systems, as well as Title V permitting and regulatory reporting.
Work is performed within a general office/travel split of approximately 85%/15%. The environmental consulting business unit is primarily performed through home office setups. Travel is required approximately 15% of the time. This travel is variable across the year and will be dependent on the type of project being executed. Travel typically consists of site meetings, plant walk throughs, and conference attendance. Our projects typically involve personnel at all levels of an organization from environmental, engineering, operations, corporate, and legal. The ability to communicate to all levels of an organization is required.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
· Work well in a team and independently, often with a fluid schedule, and multiple clients and projects.
· Have a willingness to travel (i.e., must be able to travel, sometimes with short notice.)
· Coordinate with multiple clients and complete other tasks as assigned.
· Have strong skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Have strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
· Have a willingness to learn, observe, and adapt to new types of projects.
Tasks:
Some examples of the types of tasks this position will complete or manage others in completing are:
· Review regulations and apply those regulations to specific operations
· Review monitoring technology capabilities and apply them to specific applications
· Prepare regulatory reports
· Review equipment in operation and determine its suitability for compliance with regulations and good engineering practices.
· Prepare emissions and compliance parameters calculations.
· Perform calculations using large data sets.
· Use multi-year data sets to determine trends and opportunities.
· Manage projects for scope, schedule, and budget.
· Preparing proposals and change orders.

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or advanced degrees in engineering or sciences (i.e., Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, chemistry, or equivalent).
· 4+ years of work experience in air related, environmental projects, either in consulting or plant related positions. Project management experience is a plus; however, project related experience of environmental projects is required.
· Flexibility in task completion

· Must have valid driver’s license
