Tansco Senior Accountant/CPA Job Overview:
TANSCO is seeking a Senior Accountant/CPA to manage all our finances of various LPs and Companies. Your responsibilities will include tracking our organization’s books, revenues, expenses, and taxes, producing financial reports, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You will also be responsible for auditing our books to ensure our records are correct and will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes.
Below are some of the responsibilities for the Senior Accountant/CPA position:
- Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Study financial and accounting trends to determine future business needs.
- Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Implement accounting foundation and processes in Quickbooks and other future software.
- Work with various entities’ AR/AP staff for reporting and reconciliations.
- Streamline accounting operations and training with manuals and structure.
- Process state and federal payroll taxes.
- Prepare tax returns for businesses and individuals.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Below are the qualifications expected of a Senior Accountant/CPA:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
- Certification licensed CPA with three years of experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software.
- Working knowledge of Real Estate Management software Yardi Breeze is a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Quick learner for new technology and software.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Self-starter.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
