JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Oversee the cooking process from start to finish and determine how much time each step requires.
Responsible for that station’s workflow and getting meals out on time.
Prepare station by setting up and stocking cooking area with all the essential items and getting all components ready for service time. Know all the steps for their station in order to time their food preparation steps correctly.
Cost effective preparation of quality food in safe and efficient compliance with proper food preparation and handling, policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Attention to detail and utilizing active listening skills to follow the process of the Executive Chef.
Always keep their station clean, tidy, and well-stocked to ensure food safety and high-quality dishes.
Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests where applicable.
Familiar with industry’s best practices.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations.
Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
Ensure a professional appearance, a clean uniform, and adherence to other company appearance standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
