SUMMARY OF POSITION
-The Counseling Intern will gain practical work experience in the area of counseling and behavioral health. -Candidate will provide ongoing individual outpatient counseling services to children aged 5-21 while under supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Assists in client intake process -Collaborates with other agency professionals -Writes treatment plans, progress notes, and client assessments and evaluation -Administers outcome measures to clients and caregivers -Attends supervision sessions with clinical supervisor -Attends appropriate meetings, including staff meetings and trainings -Maintains client electronic health records
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS -Candidate must be attending an accredited academic program and be a candidate in Masters of Counseling or Clinical Social Work -Must be approved for internship by learning institution -Maintain good academic standing during internship -6-month minimum commitment -Willingness to serve a diverse range of clients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds -Ability to take professional feedback and incorporate recommendations into clinical work -Willingness to fully assess for risk and safety with all clients -Desire to work with children age 5-21
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
