Key Account Manager Description
Our client in the office equipment and supplies industry is looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team in Sterling, VA. You will be responsible for researching, pursuing, and closing new enterprise-level accounts, in addition to managing and growing some assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and generating profitable business. Our client is seeking a proactive individual with proven success in sales and new business development, who enjoys meeting new people and can establish rapport quickly, with excellent customer service skills. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated sales professional, as individuals in this position tend not to leave, where you will have the chance to build your own long-term book of business, with the support of a team environment.
Key Account Manager Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales and profit objectives
- Research and open new enterprise-level accounts
- Retain and grow current accounts
- Provide high levels of service to assigned accounts
- Engage with customers through current technologies
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services
- Use company and commonly used technologies effectively
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Interact professionally with colleagues and clients
- Attend meetings and training sessions as directed
Key Account Manager Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven success in sales and new business development experience required
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office required
- Ability to travel locally for customer visits required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
