The Aeromechanical team at Pivotal is looking for a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this position you will be responsible for leading several of the subsystem design of our eVTOL aircraft and mentor other engineers in the team. This is a critical role in the development of our technology and the successful candidate will be instrumental in bringing our eVTOLs to market.

Own all PCB enclosures mechanical design of eVTOL aircraft systems

Own battery pack mechanical design

Own vehicle harness design

Develop and maintain detailed design documentation

Collaborate with other teams to ensure the mechanical systems are integrated and optimized and comply with the product requirements

Participate in the development of test plans and procedures

Identify and resolve technical issues and risks

Manage and mentor junior engineers

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
-
5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes

Detailed knowledge of mechanical design, surfacing, simplification, and data management within CAD software, preferablywith CATIA V5/V6 in 3DX platform

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience with eVTOL or other electric aircraft
