Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting standards
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including debits/credits, financial statements, and budgeting/forecasting, accounts payable/receivable
- Conducting variance analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and ability to apply them in practice
- Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
