Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for language arts classes
- Teach students various aspects of language arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Provide academic advising and support to students as needed
- Utilize learning technologies to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Provide individual or small group tutoring to students who require additional support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Language Arts or a related subject area
- Strong knowledge of language arts curriculum and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in creative writing, journalism, or related fields is highly desirable
- Ability to effectively educate students with special education needs
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, grading, and student records
- Familiarity with learning technologies and their integration into the classroom
