Focusing on a time horizon of 3-5y, driving innovation and challenge to bring competitive advantage to the business.
Contributes with Contingent Workforce & Legal portfolios to productivity roadmap target of 5-10%+ YOY cost reduction in 2024-2025. Agrees on appropriate financial terms and pricing mechanisms with suppliers.
Solves complex problems, provides new perspective to existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple, complex and dynamic sources of information.
Ensures effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implements corrective actions as appropriate
Implement regional contracts addendums in alignment with global contracts and puts regional contracts in place and related Service Level Agreements for the respective categories (securing price, volume rebates, service levels and added value in line with the needs of the business). Collaborates with legal ops team to identify/help on negotiations of financial goals. The final decision on external firms to collaborate work with sits with legal.
Develops and maintains sustainable relationships with Critical suppliers. Tracks, monitors and drives key supplier performance indicators across cost, service and quality and puts corrective actions in place for continuous improvement. Act as point of escalation. Collects and leverages market data relevant to help on supplier selection and rationalization.
Establishes & maintains relationships with internal clients (such as GMs, Supply VPs, Plant Managers, etc.) and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge. Ensures stakeholder alignment for Strategies (MSSM) with Functional Stakeholders. Collaborate with legal ops team to create & maintain Mars’ legal outside counsel preferred list and lead a periodic RFP for law firms.
Implements and complies with standard processes and tools to ensure responsible, continuous and sustainable sourcing in line with commercial policies, systems and controls.
Applies a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, etc.) to define the best trading strategic approach for use when allocating business to suppliers, appropriate to the strategic choice. Uses sourcing category expertise to provide market and financial insights and inputs into the operating plan process. Partners with DT to help identify external providers of technology services to support legal.
Responsible for delivering agreed Annual Sourcing Plan targets and other key commercial metrics.
Primary point of contact for Americas CW & Legal Sourcing, providing updates regarding questions / issues / challenges related to sourcing process, internal stakeholders, suppliers and contingent workers; communicate with internal stakeholders, and suppliers to address open questions/ concerns and provide updates when required.
