ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary
Directs, supervises and reviews activities of Corporate Accounting including fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, financial statements and other accounts receivable billings. Prepare financial statements for ECU Health. Assist, review and maintain a comprehensive financial reporting system for all entities of the health system. Direct and review the preparation of schedules, ledgers, payroll and A/P corporate interfaces to the GL and other various financial reports. Establish, implement and review internal controls for current systems in place and on all new systems implemented. Maintain financial accountability. Prepare departmental budget for Corporate Accounting and budget for depreciation, amortization and interest expense for the organization. Assist, review and prepare corporate 1099 reporting and executive W-2 reporting annually as well as review of quarterly payroll tax reports. Complete other special functions as requested by leadership.
Minimum Requirements
College Degree (4 yrs) Major: Accounting- or higher.
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience is required, Previous experience in healthcare setting preferably a hospital.
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Excellent interactive, communication and people skills
