Hourly Pay Rate: $15.12 to $17.00
We are immediately hiring multiple Caregivers/Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized and quality services to elderly individuals and those diagnosed with disabilities in our Group Homes, Day Programs, and In-Home Support divisions.

JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

Transferring individuals from wheelchair to changing table, bed, chairs, shower chairs.
-
Transport and assist individuals in and out of company vans.
-
Facility cleaning includes but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.
-
Plan and prepare monthly menus of well-balanced meals/snacks meeting applicable dietary needs, as required.
-
Teach and assist with personal hygiene which includes, but not limited to; showering, changing adult incontinent briefs, brushing teeth, shaving, and assisting with dressing.

Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, or crouching on various floor and ground surfaces.

Assess individual behavior and respond appropriately.
-
Advise, consult, and coordinate with applicable program staff in all departments.

All employees are required to adhere to HIPAA requirements of client confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Requires any combination of training, education, and/or experience equal to a high school diploma or GED.

90 days experience in the field of disabilities, preferred.
-
Must pass a pre-employment physical clearance at the time of hire.
-
Successful completion of Copa’s training program meeting the requirements of contacted funding sources; the Division of Developmental Disabilities and/or Department of Health Services.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks, including drug screen testing.
-
Ability to meet Copa’s driver authorized driving requirements set forth by Copa’s insurance company, (Arizona Driver’s license upon hire, 39-month MVR, proof of insurance and vehicle registration), if applicable.

Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred.
