Wilhelmsen Ship Management is looking for the most suitable candidate to join the team as a Marine HR Specialist at our Pasadena, TX office.
The principal duty of the Marine HR Specialist is to handle the HR functions for assigned vessels/fleet. The Marine HR Specialist will report to the Marine HR Manager.

Main responsibilities and tasks

Handling HR matters concerning manning of vessels with qualified, certified, and medically fit personnel for assigned fleet

Handling planning and placement activities of seafarers for assigned fleet
-
Ensure high level seafarer compliance with flag state and company requirements
-
Ensure crew database is fully updated for assigned fleet
-
Follow up and approve budget and cost control for assigned vessels

Follow up on P&I cases

Participate in vessel visits as required by Client and Marine HR Management

Participate in internal and external audits as required
-
Follow-up on seafarer feedback surveys and propose improvements

Contribute to meetings with Client
Strategical

Monitor assigned Marine Personnel agents serving assigned fleet operate according to WSM and Client requirements

Contribute to initiatives connected to welfare and other benefits on assigned vessels

Actively participate in process improvements and implementations concerning Marine HR

Actively contribute to enhance seafarer satisfaction with WSM
-
Contribute to establish, develop and follow-up on Marine HR KPI’s and local AOP as applicable
Additional responsibilities and tasks

Identify and contribute to training and competency development needs to Competence Development & Training

Participate in special projects as given by Marine HR Management

Min. 3 years' experience from maritime operations/HR or seagoing background with minimum 2 years sailing in a junior officer role
