Job Summary:
Responsible for performing detailed repairs on furniture purchased by our customers.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Determine the cost effective repair status.
- Perform detailed repairs on furniture to include wood, upholstery, and leather products.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Communicate and document all customer concerns to the Repair Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and well organized work area to include company vehicles.
- Maintain all tools and repair materials in proper condition.
- Take care of all customers through direct action or indirectly by assisting others.
- Work with other employees to attain company goals.
- Participate in focus group, safety, and other location meetings.
- Recommend other employees for commendation for achievement.
- Report violations of company policies and the misappropriation of company assets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Basic knowledge of wood, fabric and leather repair.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use the phone.
- Able to lift 50-100 pounds, frequently. Mostly standing, bending, and walking.
- Normally driving or riding in a company vehicle to a customer’s home.
- Warehouse setting with semi-controlled heating and cooling or in a customer’s home.
- Moderate level of stress.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year furniture repair experience.
