Role Description: Team Lead Team Leads own a segment of the shift and support the bakery-caf managers by increasing the levels of effectiveness, operational integrity, and subsequently highly satisfied customers. Together, they divide and conquer the work that needs to be done. As a Team Lead, they will execute the training plans as designed for certifiable positions and duties within their certified track and teach all tasks and procedures according to standard. Theyll do this by role modeling and embodying Paneras Concept Essences and Cultural Values, even when not training.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain Quality Bakery-Caf Operations While Ensuring Customer Satisfaction
Provide leadership within a production or service zone in warmth, cleanliness, quality, speed, and accuracy
Role model Engage, Explore, Exceed and exude Panera Warmth
Ensure 100% accuracy, speed, quality and presentation of all orders
Immediately react to Code Red situations by taking action and solve/correct any condition in which a guest is waiting on us Management and Development of Team Members
Train team members within the production or service track
Confirm zone team members are talked into position by a manager and are aware of priorities of the day
Keep a positive attitude at all times during the training process
Coach, drive, and validate shift expectations such as: Food Quality, Speed of Service, Accuracy, and Panera Warmth
Assign and follow up on the completion of cleaning and stocking duties set the next shift up for success
In complete trainer uniform at all times Financial Contribution
Follow process maps and process discipline
Prepare all food items using the SBS and job aids available
Practice the 4 Pillars of Throughput:
o Set the pace and communicates when help is needed
o Anticipate bottlenecks and take appropriate action to prevent
o Stocked to rock
o Aces in their places

Basic food safety understanding and practice
Certified in a full service, production*, or delivery track
o Service: Dining Room, Cashier, Expo, Drive Thru Service**
o Production: Soups, Salads/Hot Entrees, Sandwiches, Barista, QC, Drive Thru Production**
o Delivery: Dining Room, Delivery
Ability to direct, motivate, and train others in a fast-paced environment
Minimum 18 years of age *Breakfast and Prep only required for production if training in those positions **Required where available
