Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company.
This role requires a high degree of accuracy, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and work independently.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in accounting and financial management, with a strong emphasis on maintaining financial integrity and driving the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
● Supervise the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection.
● Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
● Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
● Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
● Manage and ensure compliance with payroll processing and relevant regulations.
● Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial records.
● Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support.
● Oversee tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
● Maintain the confidentiality and security of all financial data.
● Utilize advanced accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
● Provide administrative and strategic support as needed.
● Collect and process weekly timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance
● Payroll Experience is mandatory. Should be well versed with all Payroll process and clear understanding of W2, 1099, and C2C employment classifications
● experience in resolving issues with state revenue departments (e.g., for taxes) and State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) departments, ensuring compliance and effectively resolving discrepancies
● software or tools have you used to manage and process weekly timesheets in previous roles
● Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) and invoices.
● Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
● Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve financial operations.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● Proven experience as an accounting manager or in a similar senior accounting role.
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Unanet).
● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
● Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
● Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
● Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
Preferred Skills:
● In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
● Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting.
● Experience with financial planning and budget management.
● Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.
