Massage Therapists at UCI’s Department of Campus Recreation provide a comprehensive one-on-one educational rehabilitation and therapeutic program for clients. Promoting lifelong adherence to health and self-care through realistic goal setting and education is the purpose of the WorkStrong program. Massage therapists in the WorkStrong program will treat a host of injuries, many chronic, some acute, ranging from Low Back Pain, to Fibromyalgia.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Administers massage therapy to clients monitoring level of comfort and response
- Accurately tracks client progress, information and training sessions
- Provides clients with techniques for postural improvement, stretching, and relaxation.
- Abides by AMTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethincs. Adheres to all hospital/department policies and procedures.
- Maintains client confidentiality in accordance to HIPPA laws
- Communicates client’s program progress and/or problems with supervisor
- Maintains clean, orderly and sanitary treatment area. May monitor laudnering of sheets and towels
- Attends meetings and Department in-service training
- Willing to work at both Anteater Recreation Center (Irvine) and UCI Medical Center (Orange)

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
