**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a Wire Harness and Small Electronics Fabricator to join our team and be a significant contributor to Coapt’s current and future human interface product lines. This position is an opportunity for a capable and resourceful individual to make a mark. The successful applicant joins an established team with an expanding product pipeline. The Wire Harness and Small Electronics Fabricator reports to Coapt’s Support and Fabrication Lead and have other strong liaisons to the company’s Engineering Managers, Operations team, and Regulatory Compliance & Legal Affairs Manager.

**Duties:**
PRIMARY
- Routine fabrication of multi-cable wire harnesses for use in our medical device product line. This process typically includes: wire (28-30 AWG) twisting from spools, wire measuring and trimming, shrink tube cutting and installation, ring-terminal termination crimping and soldering, harness jacketing, prepping and soldering wire ends to PCB through-holes, plastic connector housing gluing and finishing.
- Light, hand-soldering of surface mount and through-hole PCB components.
- Physical labeling of fabricated items.
- Electronic data entry of fabricated items.
- Assist with testing, QA documentation, and general preparation of product and repair shipments.
- Assist with other light electronics diagnosis, repair, assembly, and fabrication.
- Assist with product materials’ receiving and acceptance procedures.
GENERAL
- Periodically analyze and report on clinical and technical issues to a broader team.
- Assist with maintenance of work instruction and other QA procedure documentation.
- Identify and communicate product issues to the engineering team, collaborating - Participate in customer support log audits with internal team.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.
- Maintain a positive attitude while participating with a team and communicating with others.
- Provide transparency to peers and company leads regarding prioritization of projects and status of current development and project tasks.
**Qualifications:**
EDUCATION
- Completed or nearing completion of technical training in small electronics fabrication and cable assembly.
EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on electronics fabrication
- Hand soldering/de-soldering
- Small gauge wire harness assembly
- Wire terminations prep
- Shrink tube and hot air work proficiency
- PCB repair
- Small tool use
- Technical system troubleshooting and repair
- Relevant clinical experience is an asset
- Exposure to the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics is an asset
