Implement security expectations for Enbridge.
Serve as a corporate security subject matter authority to Enbridge managers in the region.
Be the security risk lead for the region; identify and understand the nature of security/risks in the business environment, as well as recommend the application of appropriate controls and countermeasures to mitigate those risks.
Supervise and lead quality assurance of physical security components such as access control, guards, technical security, and perimeter barriers.
Draft / update / implement security management plans.
Review security procedures and guides on regular intervals and update as needed.
Locally lead security crisis situations as a representative of the Enterprise Security team
Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable energy sector requirements.
Prepare documentation and conduct regular updates to management as directed.
Conduct Security risk assessments and or security vulnerability assessments.
Bachelor’s degree or similar post-secondary education and a minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience including experience in areas such as physical security, emergency response, training, operations, regulatory, threat intelligence, security management, and program development.
8 or more years military or law enforcement experience.
Experience running guard force performance in a corporate facility setting.
Have a demonstrated network of law enforcement and intelligence contacts in the region.
Expert in conducting security risk assessment and or security vulnerability assessments.
Solid understanding of security and regulatory requirements applicable to the energy sector.
Good project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting security standards and other similar documents with little to no oversight/assistance.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Post graduate degree.
Security industry certifications such as CPP/ PSP.
Contract and project management.
Have a demonstrated network of security professionals in leadership positions.
Government issued security clearance.
Leadership skills vital to successfully implement and inspire change.
Be a member of industry corporate security organizations.
Good external/public relations and communications skills.
