Well established plaintiff’s contingency fee firm seeks a senior litigation associate to work with firm principal managing a small case load of significant value cases. Main practice areas include complex personal injury, insurance coverage, and medical malpractice. The Firm is recognized locally, regionally, and nationally for excellence in trial practice-and has been listed in Best Lawyers/Law Firms for the past thirteen consecutive years. Competitive pay commensurate with experience, significant bonus potential, and excellent benefits (pension/profit sharing, 401k, health). This is not a fully remote position, although some degree of hybrid remote work is possible.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation/trial practice, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and will be able to provide advice and counsel on a variety of legal matters. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think strategically, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Senior Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court proceedings, drafting legal documents, and providing guidance on complex legal matters. A minimum of five years of litigation experience in California state and/or federal court is required. Some trial experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal documents, such as discovery, pleadings, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Advise clients on legal matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal proceedings.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Review and analyze medical records.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsels.
- Develop strategies for resolving complex legal issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
