- Answer, assist and/or transfer incoming phone calls
- Responsible for proper rate quotes on all guest inquiries
- Take and record reservations including double-checking other agents’ reservations
- Assign guests to suites and change assignments as needed
- Perform guest check in and checkout service
- Provide warm and friendly service to all guests, in person and on the phone
- Review hotel information with guests and handle any questions
- Recommend, give directions and complete reservations at guest request for activities, dining options, shopping, transportation and sightseeing
- Handle guest complaints through listening and taking action to correct the situation
- Post charges to guest room accounts
- Follow established procedures for handling payments and cash; responsible for maintaining a bank
- Close out financial transactions and verify totals with paperwork and reports
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments (Lobby Services, Housekeeping and Maintenance) to satisfy guest requests including making calls and keeping logs
- Sell and/or serve alcohol as requested by guests.
- Assist in training other Guest Service Agents
