KEY JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We have two open territories. One in Kenosha/Racine/Walworth area and another in Madison with a heavy focus on on-premise business.
- Ability to comprehend monthly product pricing, programming and promotions changes to achieve successful sale, distribution, and placement of products.
- Work with Management to assist in creating customized sales strategies.
- Establish an efficient schedule of regular calls and customer appointments with accounts in an assigned area.
- Analyze and explore the market to identify opportunities for new customers.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers by balancing the company’s priorities and customer's needs.
- Execute to meet monthly sales goals for volume and activity of supplier brands as set by management.
- Ensure maximum brand visibility and consistent product levels at customer locations through proper inventory and merchandising.
- Obtain product payments to ensure timely accounts receivable collections according to company credit policies.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding market demands to avoid out of stock situations. Understands the need for a high awareness of current inventory levels.
- Ability to transport and deliver products to customers in extenuating circumstances.
- Ability to handle customer issues and complaints and solve them with the assistance of management.
- Maintain professional relationships with all suppliers by participating in effective supplier work with opportunities.
- Able to attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings to stay informed on company and supplier activities.
- Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
- Able to conduct promotional and educational seminars in accounts when required.

Requirements:
- Currently working in wine route sales in Southeast Wisconsin preferred.
- Wine & Spirits product knowledge ideal.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required.
- Outside sales experience required
- Route sales experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are required to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability and willingness to work independently.
- Ability to regularly lift 50lbs from ground level.
- Must maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times.

Compensation: Depends on prior experience and sales performance. This role provides a base salary and sales commission with variable pay and incentives. It is very possible and expected that the person in this role would earn an annual income that exceeds the pay range listed above after 24 months with the company.
