Job Summary:
The Market Director-Physical Security & Asset Protection (AP) is responsible for the overall shrink performance within the Sysco-specialty business function (SSMG, FreshPoint, Don, European Imports, Asian Foods). The Market Director possesses a high degree of knowledge and experience in Asset Protection, Physical Security, Investigative Techniques, as well as strong analytical skills that are vital to the business operation. The Market Director is responsible for assessing Sysco’s market / field operational procedures to ensure the protection of employees, inventory, cash, equipment, and other Company assets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the overall shrink performance within the Sysco market operations area as assigned. Supports and coordinates a wide range of investigations, in conjunction with other members of corporate security, internal and external resources. Oversees the timely investigation of physical security incidents, report findings and outcomes to Market and executive leadership.
Project and Change Management: Serves as project owner for high complexity department, cross-functional or multi-location projects and improvement initiatives. Set project direction including project scope, timeline, and resources. Partners with the Director, Global Physical Security & AP for all decisions made along with project success. Manages change through effective planning, communication, and coaching market field leadership cross-functionally. Builds and participates in leadership coalition supporting and implementing organizational change.
Prepare annual/semi-annual security threat/risk briefings for the regional business and risk function leadership.
Educate and train all business partners in programs and methods for protecting inventory, cash, equipment, and other Company assets. Assist business partners in training their team members in these areas.
Partners with the Director, Global Physical Security & AP to develop and implement asset protection business plans for all brands under the Sysco organization, warehouse facilities and the supply chain to prevent and detect internal and external theft.
Develop and execute operational audits to assess compliance with Company policies and procedures and maintains consistency across the department and markets for Sysco.
Maintain and develop enterprise best practices, standards, processes, and technology solutions for brand protection and ensuring agile deployment, consistent execution and compliance across the Field organization.
Provide information and counsel concerning retail operations to senior leadership to support strategic development and improvements in growth and effectiveness of Sysco’s Field Operations and Services.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Security Management, or related technical field desired

Wicklander-Zulawski Interviewing Certificate is required (Beginner & Advanced). CFI (Certified Forensic Interviewer). CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) LP Qualified/LP Certified certification
