Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant and Payroll Specialist to join our team. This specialist will manage all day to day accounting tasks relating to general ledger management, accounts payable, quarterly and annual closing of accounts, payroll management and processing, and certain tax reporting. The specialist will be working under the direct supervision and closely with the Chief Operating Officer. Multiple companies are involved.
Duties/main company:
- All GL processes: including A/P and expense assignment, income recording and assignment, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Payroll management and processing (bi-weekly, approx. 160 employees)
- Cash monitoring and bank reconciliations
- Miscellaneous invoicing of rents and other collections
- Completion of year end 1099 and SUW tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data maintenance
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5 years experience
- Experience with Sage/Peachtree accounting software
- Experience with ADP payroll processing
- Experience with cash-based accounting processes
- Experience in the healthcare field
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in using Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel
Duties/ancillary companies (no payroll involved):
- Property management for one property and its maintenance. General ledger management for expense and income recording, cash management, annual financial statements, annual statement submission to CPA for tax rep01iing, annual 1099 and SUW reporting and annual CAM reconciliation.
- Four other ancillary LLCs and corporations. Same as above with minimal activity, no CAM involved.
