Moms In Motion has an opening for a Chief Information Officer. The Chief Information Officer will develop, plan, and implement an information technology strategy that meets the company’s business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees projects and assignments within the technology department.
- Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades are performed as needed.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
- Creates and implements technology policies, protocols and standards.
- Supports innovation; identifies new developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications.
- Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs.
- Assists the CEO/CFO to develop and then implements the IT budget.
- Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department.
- Establishes long-term system needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
- Oversees implementation and support of all computer, communication, and other technology systems.
- Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data.
- Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.
- Analyzes system usage and processes to determine how to optimize return on investment, improve information technology systems, and foster business growth.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with technology vendors and negotiates services and contracts.
- Develops training documents for systems users, including infographics, slide shows, and video tutorials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite or related software.
- Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
- Superior leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of information technology, data management, and administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled at strategic planning and goal-setting.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Presentation skills are a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing levels of responsibility throughout.
