Summary:
We are in search of a reliable and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Staff Accountant within our dynamic team. The preferred candidate will embody a high level of dependability, along with exceptional communication abilities, a proactive mindset, and a sincere eagerness for professional development. This is a full-time onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record financial transactions in the accounting software
- Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling statements
- Handle accounts receivable, including generating customer invoices, tracking payments, and managing collections
- Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy
- Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring proper coding
- Generate and provide regular financial reports to management, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and trial balance
- Manage monthly accounting closures
- Improve existing reporting and procedures
- Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines
- Process employee payroll accurately and on time
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors regarding financial matters
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations
- Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records
- Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed

Education and Experience:
- 6+ years of related experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business required
- Experience w/ Deltek Ajera highly regarded
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products, particularly Word and Excel
Salary Range:
- $80,000 – $120,000 based on experience and interview performance
