ABC Child Center is hiring a full/part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Teachers / Floaters for its infant/toddler classrooms. It is important for us to find a candidate that works very well with others, is professional, caring, patient, well spoken, reliable, works well under pressure, and who truly has a love and passion for working with young children.
Ideal candidates have experience as an Infant Teacher Assistant, Toddler Teacher Assistant, Infant Teacher Aid, Toddler Teacher Aid, Daycare Assistant, working in Early Childhood Education.
Some of the responsibilities you will have include, but are not limited to:
- Helping infants/toddlers develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
- Creating a warm, inviting classroom environment with different sights, sounds and textures that is safe, clean and hazard free
- Helping plan and conducting developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Forming strong relationships with families and having open daily communication
- Maintaining individual daily records with details regarding sleeping, eating, diapering, etc.
- Coordinating meal/ snack/ bottle preparation
- Diapering children daily
- Decorating classroom and bulletin boards
Position Requirements:
- Candidate must have a minimum of a High School Diploma and currently pursuing an Associate/ Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Must have a flexible schedule. Must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and fluent in English.
- Must have minimum of 2 years of experience working with multiple young children at one time under the age of 24 months, preferably in a licensed childcare facility.
- Must LOVE to teach and educate young children
Applicant will need:
- Criminal Records Background Check & Fingerprinting by the Dept. of Investigation
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Child Abuse & Maltreatment Training
- SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Training
- SBS (Shaken Baby Syndrome) Training
- Medical Exam/ TB Testing / Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- 3 Letters of Reference from previous employers
Hiring is pending resume and qualifications review, background check, an interview in person and a minimum of 1 or more demo. lesson plans with the infants/toddlers to evaluate candidates interaction with young children.
