Position Responsibilities:
Facilitate initial appointment, re-appointment and tracking of expired documents.
Reviews provider credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with current credentialing guidelines, NCQA, state, and federal requirements.
Reviews and performs primary source verification of all applicant licensure, education and training, relevant employment history, and affiliations; assesses risk exposure during and at the time of recredentialing.
Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications.
Works with payors to ensure proper enrollment for billing and payment receipt.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Identifies and communicates all concerns regarding practitioner credentialing and enrollment to local facility
Assists Manager in selecting, training, and retaining highly qualified personnel
NPDB entries & checks
Licensure applications
FCVS
Attending to collaborative practice agreements, etc.
Is readily available to Credentialing Specialist and local facilities as acknowledge source and problem solver
Oversees the credentialing process to ensure deadlines are met
Position Preferences & Requirements:
3 or more Years of credentialing experience preferred, 2 years required.
Bachelors degree or certificate (CPCS) in credentialing preferred, experience being a proper substitute.
The ability to effectively communicate, utilize Microsoft office, and work as a part of a team is required.
Computer proficiency required
