Remote Account Executive – Department of Defense Specialist
FA International is looking for a Freight Broker with experience moving Department of Defense freight. As a Remote Account Executive – Department of Defense Specialist your primary function will be to generate new business for FA. You will be the primary point of contact for potential FA customers and will play a crucial role in closing new business. As a sales professional at FA, you will have a team of resources whose main goal is to enable your success in developing and growing your book of business.
Experience:
3-5 years in logistics, specifically Department of Defense freight sales • Strong customer service and communication skills • The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently to meet productivity goals • Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) is a plus • Some business travel may be required.
Objectives
Develop relationships with customers and Convert Prospects into new business for FA
- Turn on that ability to tap into opportunities while working alongside industry experts
- Form a customer base by establishing communication with prospective clients, understanding their supply chain needs, and building out proposals to meet their requirements
- Solicit our client’s services which include OTR, International, Drayage, Intermodal, LTL, Distribution & Warehousing, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
- Meet and surpass monthly goals and objectives
- Maintain consistent communication with our client’s Operations/Customer Service Departments
- Target potential prospects by cold calling and e-mails daily
- Exemplify the FA brand and cultural values
- Secure opportunities with decision makers
- Maintain contact with accounts
Key Responsibilities
· As Remote Account Executive – Department of Defense Specialist you will structure and organize our products in line with our Directions, in such a way that it will be profitable, and operational structured to ensure and secure a good, reliable and value-added product for our network and local office.
· As Remote Account Executive – Department of Defense Specialist your main task will be to promote our products in every form to ensure promotion and sales of our possibilities. Your primary responsibility is to realize sales targets and execute the sales strategy as it’s been laid out.
· You will maintain existing customer relations as well as expand our customer base with new ones, whilst always keeping your customer portfolio up to date by administrating data in the available CRM system.
· You will visit existing and potential customers to understand their needs and build with the operational team a customized solution that perfectly fits with customers’ requirements.
· You will secure customer generated revenues and serve as the main entry point for Department of Defense freight both internally and externally. Your sales activities will be divided between primarily outside sales (i.e. customer outreach) and inside sales (i.e. acquisition by phone – both warm & cold)
