Position Summary:
Stamos Capital Partners, L.P. (“SCP”), located on Sand Hill Road, is an independent, privately owned investment management firm with more than $5.6 billion in assets under management. Our primary mission is to serve a select group of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private foundations, endowments, trusts, and other clients that share our core values. We seek to preserve and build wealth for our clients and investors by investing across a broad range of asset classes including public equity (long-only, and long/short), private equity (venture capital, growth equity, buyout, and distressed), absolute return, fixed income, and real assets (real estate and natural resources).
As a member of the firm’s Investment Team, the individual will play an active role in helping to build, trade and monitor the firm’s equity portfolios through direct ownership. Candidate should have a strong understanding of the equity markets, and experience in stock, ETF, and equity index options trading. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, PTO, and 401k plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As member of trading team:
- Execute daily investment operations on an end-to-end basis – especially during market hours (6:30am PST – 1:00pm PST).
- Participate in daily market and portfolio review meetings.
- Conduct ongoing and in-depth monitoring of existing and prospective company investments.
- Including but not limited to: submission of/retrieval of trade tickets, order submission via compliance-approved software, tracking individual trades/tax lots via Excel.
- Quickly and accurately build and maintain Excel models, frameworks and documents used for researching/analyzing/evaluating/documenting new and existing equity investments.
Collaborate with senior team members to:
- Proactively monitor and analyze market data and trends to identify potential transactions.
- Develop and execute Firm’s trading execution strategies.
- Source, develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with counterparties to facilitate best execution.
- Negotiate counterparty agreements such as ISDA, PB and FCM agreements.
- Monitor and manage risk exposures, including market, counterparty credit, and operational risks.
- In close partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Finance, ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
- Serve as investment team lead in shaping and implementing the Firm’s Best Execution process.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date, substantive knowledge of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications/Experience:
- 3-5 years’ trading experience, preferably in equities trading.
- Strong demonstrated writing skills.
- No job too small attitude
- Comfortable working toward flexible targets.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects on a tight deliverable schedule.
- Ability to work well in collaborative, fast-paced environment (may need to wear many hats as needed).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and follow through.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with trade order management systems.
Education:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from a top-tier university.
- Series 7, 63/66 licenses are a plus.
