Behavior Technician
Duties:
- Work directly with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Implement behavioral therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide support and guidance to clients and their families
- Follow all medical documentation and recordkeeping protocols
- Conduct behavioral interventions and strategies as directed by the BCBA
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Ability to follow medical records protocols and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals with special needs
Note: This position may require inhalation of aerosolized medication as part of certain treatment protocols. Training will be provided.
