Job Summary:

Register/schedule patients for appointments.

Enter patient information into Cerner.

Verifies patient demographic, insurance and patient financial obligation at time of service.

Maintains files, faxes and any information from Physician offices

Answers incoming calls plus relays messages to the clinical staff appropriately.

Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.

Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education:
High school diploma/GED required.
Experience:
Patient registration experience preferred.
Additional Skills / Abilities:
Three to six months on the job training to acquire necessary familiarity with department policies, procedures, etc. Knowledge of insurance coverage and medical terminology with typing skills of 40 wpm.
