Overview:
Commercial Construction Group is seeking an experienced & highly motivated project team leader. This individual should possess stellar communication skills and be able to oversee all aspects of multiple construction projects from implementation to completion. Ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget and meets or exceeds client expectations. The best suited individual for this position should not only have extensive construction management experience but the ability to leverage their network to provide additional revenue opportunities for the company.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for construction operations of one or more projects from beginning through finalization
· Assists in enforcing all jobsite procedures and safety policies with the Lead Superintendent
· Instructs and trains subcontractors, and others in appropriate methods and processes of construction administration
· Holds project team accountable for meeting performance standards and successfully delivering on project expectations
· Establishes areas of accountability and performance objectives, monitors progress and provides feedback to project team & subcontractors
· Serves as resource for answering project team questions and assisting with solving problems
· Develops project phasing, detailed schedules, and project logistics; communicates plan and schedule changes, alternate work assignments, change order and scope revisions to the project team including all project delays
· Scheduling of material and trade management, safety, job site quality control and customer care
· Identifies project constraints and opportunities for improvement specifically as it relates to schedule and cost
· Monitors project status and maintains on-site representation to ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract documents and the owner's expectations
· Initiates, attends, and follows up on preconstruction, pre-install, scheduling, safety and progress status meetings
· Reviews quality control standards and monitors outcomes
· Investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures
· Negotiates and issues commitments within limits of authority
· Review and approve monthly vendor pay applications
· Produce, review and execute monthly progress pay applications
· Review and execute project change orders
· Produces monthly project reports that accurately reflect how the project is tracking for completion
· This includes cost to complete, current buyout percentage, and a listing of any remaining exposures on the project
Executes the complete project turnover including all required closeout documentation
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in construction related field (preferred)
· 10-12 years of construction project management experience including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders & subcontracts, scheduling & field communications (Highly Preferred)
· Advanced knowledge of construction management process, means & methods
· Advanced knowledge of building products, relevant codes & regulations and quality standards
· ability to interpret construction details
· Experience Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook & project), ComputerEase (preferred but not required),
· ability to adapt to changing project requirements & priorities
· A primary focus on delivering the best customer service experience
· Experience working on multiple projects at a time ranging from $ 300K up to $ 3M
