Construction Superintendent
Position: Construction Superintendent
Overview: The Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of the construction process at various job sites, including restaurants, retail stores, and strip malls. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to adhere to strict schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
- Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Communicate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Create and maintain construction schedules, including monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFI) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential issues.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress and expenses.
- Provide regular project updates to project managers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Experience with scheduling software and project management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Previous experience working on restaurant, retail, and strip mall projects is preferred.
