Job Title: Plant Human Resource Generalist
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Position Summary
The Plant Human Resources Generalist, in collaboration with the site HR Manager and Operations team, is focused on driving and supporting the employee experience. This position is responsible for performing HR administrative duties in supporting overall business objectives within a manufacturing environment. The Plant HR Generalist will drive the overall recruiting and onboarding process for production employees including temporary staffing, assist with employee benefits including supporting the company Time and Attendance/Payroll System and HRIS Systems. Additional tasks include assisting in the planning and execution of employee events and activities. This position will support policies, procedures, and HR programs, align with organizational goals, and ensure compliance with company standards, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems.
· Evaluate departmental personnel and organizational structure. Effectively drive the hiring selection process which includes sourcing, screening, and interviewing to develop a robust candidate slate.
· Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
· Investigate and administer disciplinary procedures as needed.
· Coach and mentor managers on dealing with performance issues.
· Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as legal and compliance needs pertaining to equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.
· Analyze and modify compensation to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
· Plan and conduct employee orientation and facilitate training programs.
· Support the development planning process.
· Administer policies and procedures for accurate and consistent application.

Qualifications and Competencies
· College Degree in Human Resources or a related field; may accept experience in lieu of a degree.
· Minimum of 3 to 4 years of HR experience; HR experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.
· PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
· Bilingual – reads, writes, and verbally speaks and understands both English and Spanish FLUENTLY.
· Ability to work across shifts, including night shift, to provide support to all manufacturing leadership team members and associates.
· Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Power Point, PeopleSoft, eTime, ADP, along with good organizational, time management and general office skills.
· Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Self-starter.
· The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
· The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
· The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that are valid and defensible.
· The ability to recognize a problem and initiate steps to correct it.
· The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
· Job requires a willingness to perform facility administrative tasks as well as take on responsibilities and challenges.
· Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.
