Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and ensuring food safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines to ensure quality and sanitation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during peak hours
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Proficient knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of menu planning and recipe development is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
